Good Morning,
I hope you’ve had a lovely long Easter weekend full of fun and sun. It’s back to reality today and more so as I’m heading back to work after a few weeks off following minor surgery. It’ll be good to get back to a normal routine and ease myself back in with a short but most likely hectic, 3 day week.
Anyway on to the outfit of the day. I’ve become a bit obsessed with coats adding a number to my collection through Autumn/Winter. Now that we’re well in to Spring, most have become too big and heavy for the milder temperatures and as a result I’ve packed away for now. In the process I brought out my trench and peacoat along with a few other lighter options. I also recently bought this coat which I think is a beautiful addition to my collection.
In fairness, it was on sale and I feel like that justifies it slightly, not that I need to justify it but there are other things I probably need more than another coat. It’s a lovely check pattern and the blue and orange tones are perfect for the current season. It’s not completely tailored but it does have a structure to it and I love the double breasted design. I particularly love the detail on the cuff of the sleeve with the button, it’s really classy. It’s ideal for wearing with jeans and a t-shirt day to day however you could also dress up with heels for a more formal look.
While the temperatures soared over the Easter weekend and there was absolutely no need for a coat or even light jacket, I know they’ll be some chillier days which call for a coat even just in the mornings until the temperatures rise and I’ll be reaching for this one time and time again.

xo!
I never go for coats when i shop but I should really invest in one as it is getting a bit too much for winter coats. I think I’m going to have a look at your one as it looks really nice!
