Holiday reminiscing is over and I’m back to sharing normal British summer outfits, not that the sun has made an appearance here in Glasgow though.
LWD is the LBD equivalent for summer and I always make sure I have one on hand. There’s nothing better than wearing white with a nice golden tan and I made the most of wearing this dress immediately after returning from Mexico before my tan sadly fades away.
The important thing with an LWD (& aside from avoiding spillages) is avoiding transparency. This dress is quite a thick, ribbed jersey material which is ideal as there is no chance of seeing through it. Lines or silhouettes are also hard to identify thanks to the textured fabric so there’s a slim chance of VPL which is good. The frilled sleeves and hem add some body and flounce which is a nice contrast against the more causal style material.
I envisioned wearing this on beautiful summer days while having a picnic in the park with friends or for a shopping trip. It can easily be worn causally with trainers or flat sandals but on this occasion I’ve dressed it up with a classy pair of heels. This styling would work well for a baby shower, christening or birthday celebrations. It’s a great all rounder and the tie belt allows you to synch in the waist for the perfect fit.
What do you think? Do you have an LWD at the ready for the arrival of summer?
