As soon as this skirt landed on the new in section of Zara, I was smitten. It was already sold out in my size by the time I noticed it but I always persevere and thankfully it came back in stock before my holiday.
I wore it a good few times while away and I wasn’t ready to retire it on my return. It is a very beachy style however I knew there would be ways to style it to suit the current weather conditions and day to day activities.
A good ole chunky knit is a great match and this one is ideal with the similar crochet style. The flared sleeves add some character and volume which goes well with the tiered frills of the skirt. The neutral tones blend seamlessly and the shirred waist of the skirt gives a nice shape.
To toughen the softness up a bit, I added my Louis Vuitton Trail Boots. When I said in my 9 month review post that these boots go with everything, I was not exaggerating. If I’m ever in doubt about what shoes to wear I always turn to them and I still get surprised by how well they go whether it’s with jeans and a tee or a skirt or dress. They are such a great option to have and just because it’s summer, it doesn’t mean I can’t wear them.
A little nude bag finishes off this outfit and is just the right proportion to hold my daily essentials.
