Neutrals work regardless of the season however I think they look best in summer. There’s something about the lighter tones against sun kissed skin and the way the light hits which gives a luxurious look and feel.
I’ve already shown this skirt a few times in the last few weeks but if I like something I do tend to wear it over and over again and that’s exactly the case here. I love the simplicity yet the detail is intricate. The shirred waist is really flattering and creates a definite division between the top and bottom half.
I’ve worn with a thick jumper as although it’s supposed to be summer, the weather hasn’t been that good so far. I don’t mind wearing layers or a thicker jumper on top if it means my legs are out as I still feel like I’m getting wear of my summer pieces. I don’t like wearing jeans much in the summer months, I live in them pretty much from September – April so to have a few months of wearing lighter and less restrictive options is a nice change.
I’ve added a snake print bag for a little bit of pattern and detail. This is the perfect size, shape and length in terms of cross body for me. It’s pretty roomy inside too although it doesn’t look it.
My Louis Vuitton boots are a perfect match. Did you catch my 9 month review post? I’m still besotted with them haha!
