Recently I had the opportunity to select a few items from Kurt Geiger to create content (for them) while in Mexico. I had a hard time whittling it down as they have SO many beautiful summer styles in at the moment however I was grateful to receive 3 lovely pairs of shoes to style up with my holiday outfits. I also purchased a pair myself as I was in need of a comfortable and versatile option with my existing pairs worn and tired now.
Summer styling is my favourite and sandals are a versatile option to pair with various different outfits. They are effortless and make getting ready and out the door a quick process which is important on holiday or in summer when you’d rather be out doing something and enjoying the weather instead of pondering over what to wear.
These beautiful slip on sandals with the eye catching gold studs are ideal for summer and holiday styling. The tan leather is rich and perfect for pairing with neutral or warm toned looks. They are comfortable and the caged effect helps to keep them on giving some support and adding to the detail. They can be worn from day to evening and look great with casual and formal attire. The gold hardware gives a luxe feel and looks great with sun kissed skin. I didn’t have any issue in styling them up and could have worn them daily with a variety of outfits but having the luxury of multiple new pairs to style helped me to change it up form day to day.
Similar in shape and design to the Kaddie style, these are another great summer sandal. They are lightweight but stylish which makes them perfect for getaways. The light, camel tone is really flattering on the skin and makes them super versatile. The thick twin straps are bold but not overwhelming. The large golden dome studs are perfectly proportioned and really compliment the neutral tone. These can also be worn during the day for a super chic pool or beach look or in the evening for a comfortable and practical option with a nice dress, jumpsuit or playsuit.
I always like to have at least one pair of heels with me on holiday, whether it’s a wedge sandal or a more sophisticated option such as these beautiful strappy heels, I like to know I’ve got an option if an occasion or event crops up. I don’t like being caught out or feeling underdressed and most of the time I do wear them. I’d probably have gotten out of the habit if I kept lugging heels and not wearing them as I’m always maxed out when it comes to luggage allowance but that’s a discussion for another day. These are a classic nude strappy heel and I absolutely love them. The patent finish gives a nice sheen and the straps are subtle and perfectly placed. The square toe is new for me but it’s very flattering and practical too. I like that these have a zip up the back as it makes getting them on and off really easy. These are a lovely addition to my shoe collection and I’ve already had loads of wear out of them as not only are they really elegant but they are easy to style with a variety of outfits for lots of different occasions.
I do tend to stick to neutrals for my summer shoes for ultimate wearability and to maximise the number of outfits I can get from one pair. Taking a pair of shoes on holiday which only go with one specific outfit just doesn’t work for me. This pair are easily the most comfortable sandal I have ever encountered. I don’t know if it’s being on holiday, the heat and swelling but too many times I’ve ended up with cuts and blisters from sandals and it’s not great when you’re feet are permanently on show. I wore these constantly for 2 weeks, whether it was to nip along to one of the restaurants for dinner or walking for hours on end exploring and I haven’t had any pain or injuries which is really refreshing. The insole is buttery soft and expertly cushioned. The nude tone is ideal and the pearl stud detail is really pretty. They actually perfectly match a Carvela bag I’ve had for years with the same design detail and I’m glad I brought it with me. I don’t often buy bags and shoes to match but it’s good when it happens unintentionally. I think I’ll be snapping up a second pair of these (it’s just what I do) as they are really affordable and too comfortable not to.
I hope you’ve enjoyed this round up of my top summer sandals. As mentioned at the beginning, 3 pairs were gifted however all opinions are my own and I’m under no obligation to post content on any of my channels, I simply chose to do so.
