My outfits lately have either been neutral toned or full on colour with very little in between. I’ve been wearing black less and straying from my comfort zone which has been good but I’m bringing it back to monochrome today.
I’ve styled a zebra print skirt with a plain black cold shoulder top. The skirt is really nice and lightweight and ideal for the current temperatures. It’s a wraparound style which works well and gives coverage. The tie detail at the side is a nice feature and allows you to get the perfect fit.
The top is really simple and is actually from the kids section of H&M. The cold shoulder detail is flattering and the frills around the shoulder are subtle but effective.
The boots are fairly new from the Mango sale. I first spotted them on Nadia Anya and they were sold out at that point. Thankfully they have a stock alert system and when they came back in stock in my size, they were also on sale. I was prepared to buy them full price so getting them half price was a bonus. I know they’re not an obvious choice for summer however I like styling boots with skirts and dresses as a contrast. As these are a sock boot, they are really versatile and can be dressed up or down. The heel is a really good height and they elongate the legs nicely.
I’m really getting in to head bands lately and this one is a classic that can be worn over and over again. I’ve got a really small head but this one is nice and fitted and adds a bit more detail to outfits overall.
My Saint Laurent LouLou hasn’t had that much wear, I’m still keeping her good for special occasions or days out. She is perfect and could easily be worn day to day but I don’t want her getting worn out too quickly.
One thing that was worn out was my hair. It became so dry and straggly after my holiday I couldn’t get an appointment quick enough to get it cut. I used to be so nervous about going to the hairdressers, never having come away satisfied but now that I know my lady and she knows me, it’s a much less daunting process. I can’t deny my hair looks 100 times better plus thicker and healthier too.
