Good Morning,
Following on from my post last week about Summer Workwear where I mentioned adding some new and fresh pieces to my workwear wardrobe around this time of year, this dress from Mango is exactly the kind of thing I was talking about.
I was deep in the sale section when it caught my eye but unfortunately was out of stock in my size. Thankfully Mango do size alerts even on sale items and I added my email for a notification if it came back in stock. Luckily the next day I got the email and I quickly added it to my basket and checked out.
I loved the look of it on the website but as always it’s hard to judge how it will be in person. Wrap style dresses are very flattering for most body shapes and enhance in all the right places. I particularly like the classic check pattern, it’s very sophisticated and smart for the office. The curved button detail down the front is perfectly placed and creates a nice silhouette. The tie belt waist is ideal as you can get a secure fit. The only problem with this one is that the belt is actually attached to the dress at the sides so you can’t pull too much but you shouldn’t need to anyway as there is enough give to make it work. The dress is slightly big on me and it’s most noticeable on the sleeves however I’ve turned them up to cut off at a more flattering point which looks fine and almost as if that’s the way it was supposed to be. Classic pieces like this are the kind of things I search for in the sales as I always want my workwear wardrobe to be filled with options I can wear time and time again regardless of the season or latest trends.
I’ve paired with my favourite bag of the moment, the pastel pink Kensington. This is such a versatile option as it can be worn casually day to day or more formally in the evening or for work as styled here. It really is a stand out piece and I’m enjoying wearing it in different ways.
A sleek pair of nude heels finish off the outfit and I’m ready for the day ahead.
