Bardot Dress

Good Morning,

I’m not sure where the summer sun has gone, I’m longing for it to return. I took these photos on the last really hot and sunny day we had a few weeks ago and you can see I’ve got a little bit of sunburn. Although the temperatures have remained high, it’s been mostly grey and rainy.

I’m not sure why I haven’t worn this dress before now and especially when I was in Mexico but it’s now had it’s first wear and I hope it’s not the last. I picked it up from Zara earlier in the year and absolutely love the simplicity. The classic Bardot style with a very short frill trim is really flattering and allows you to get your shoulders and décolletage area out. The tie at the back is stunning and adds a little bit of detail to an otherwise simple design. The flare of the skirt sits nicely giving a beautiful shape.

I’ve kept the accessories to a minimum to maintain the classic style of the dress and to avoid overwhelming. My castaner wedges are a perfect match in tone and style. They are so comfortable and the ribbon tie lace allows you to secure in different ways. A nude bag is ideal and holds the essential for a sunny summer day out.
