If I’m ever in doubt about what to wear, regardless of the season, monochrome always wins. It’s almost like a comfort blanket, giving that familiar feeling. It’s the same when it comes to workwear. On the days when I haven’t planned ahead or if I’m not feeling what I have decided on, I’ll change into a monochrome outfit knowing I can go about my day without worrying about what I’m wearing or feeling uncomfortable.
Despite being in the height of summer with a wide array of colours and prints livening up my wardrobe, I still opt for black and white now and again. This polka dot skirt is such a good all rounder. It’s a very flattering fit, hugging my curves and drawing attention to the right places. It can easily be dressed up with a pair of killer heels or worn casually with trainers and a white tee.
On this occasion I’ve gone for a black tee with a small bit of detail in the form of 4 hearts down one side. It’s a wardrobe staple and goes perfectly with the skirt.
My new sock boots from Mango are a great match and elongate the legs with the high rise fit. They can be both dressy or casual which makes them versatile and a worthy buy.
My patent Kensington adds a different texture and really stands out.
