I previously talked about the importance of an LWD – Little White Dress for every summer wardrobe and I stand by that. I love the clean and fresh feel along with the bright white silhouette, it’s almost nostalgic in a way. Like an LBD, an LWD works for every occasion except a wedding unless it’s an unconventional / non-traditional style & the bride has specifically said that white can be worn.
I’ve taken a really old white dress and styled up in a sophisticated fashion for a lunch date. I still have days where I lack inspiration in deciding what to wear and feel like I need to buy something new then there are days like today where I pull together an outfit from old and existing pieces that looks like I just bought it.
The dress was from Forever 21 yonks ago but it’s a classic white lace style that will never date. I’ve linked some similar styles below. The blazer is from Zara a few years ago as well and while there’s some slight piling on one side, otherwise it looks like new. I haven’t seen any decent blazers in Zara for a while. The quality and design of the older styles are much higher than what’s currently in store.
I’ve accessorised with my fav bag of the moment, the pastel Kensington. This is such a versatile piece, it goes with so many different looks. The shoes were gifted a few months ago but again they are super easy to match with different outfits and they are really comfortable too.
The little pearl headband is from H&M and works really well with the overall feminine look and feel of the outfit. I previously got one from Zara but it was a bit chunkier and it was also too big for my small head. I’m glad I found an alternative as it’s really pretty and finishes off the look.
