Pink Skirt

Good Morning,

Summer returned over the weekend and I wasn’t complaining. I’ve not fully transitioned my wardrobe just yet, I’ve got a few knits and a few coats down from the loft but most of my favourite summer pieces remain which is lucky given the sudden return of warm and sunny weather. I mentioned in a previous post about looking for a pink mini skirt but I hadn’t quite found the right one. That’s until now, with H&M coming up trumps with a faux suede mini skirt in the exact shape and style I was after.

The frill trim around the top is lovely and adds a little bit of detail. The buttons down the front are another nice touch and being the same colour as the skirt, they blend in well. The length is just right, not too short but not too long either and the high waist gives a flattering silhouette. The faux suede texture is great as it looks different depending on the light. Sometimes you can see the texture, other times you can’t. The price point is incredible at only £14.99 and it comes in different colours too, I’ve also got my eye on the mint green. I know I’ll be able to wear this through Autumn with tights or thigh high boots and again next Spring when the temperatures start to rise.

On this occaison I’ve paired with a simple white tee with a Paris slogan, can’t ever go wrong with that. I’ve also added my new trainers kindly gifted by Kurt Geiger. I was in need of a new but ‘nice’ pair of trainers to wear day to day and these are ideal with the snake print stripe detail and beautiful gold hardware. I’ve got loads of Carvela trainers and they are really comfortable while still being quite detailed and trendy.

Have you fully transitioned to Autumn or are you still holding on to the last chances of Summer?
