*bag & boots gifted
This Autumn, I’m trying to wear as many of my existing pieces as possible and avoid buying new things. It’s a challenge but I have so many pieces which can be worn regardless of the season and I’m striving to get more wear out of them. This polka jumpsuit is a prime example. In summer, a short sleeve top underneath is quite sufficient with trainers or sandals. Through Autumn a long sleeve top and a leather jacket works and in Winter, a chunky knit could be thrown over the top.
It’s easy to get caught up in the fast fashion cycle of buying a new wardrobe each season however if you stick to more classic, timeless pieces, it allows you to transition through the year and means you get the most out of your purchase.
On this occasion I’ve paired with a turtle neck long sleeve white top which cuts right through the black silhouette and ties in with the polka dots.
My ankle boots are new and kindly gifted by Carvela. A chunky heel is more durable in Autumn/Winter as the weather is so unpredictable. The mock croc design adds some detail and the patent finish is really smart and eye catching. These are actually part of the Carvela comfort range and I can honestly say they are one of the most comfortable pairs of boots I’ve ever worn. They are almost cushioned inside and I can easily wear them all day long without feeling like I’m wearing heels at all.
