Cosy Knitwear

Good Morning,

I’ve been talking about getting as much wear as possible out of my clothes even if it’s items which aren’t naturally suitable for the season.

My white crochet dress which I wore in Paris in September could easily have been packed away for next summer but instead I decided to keep it to hand and style it up in a way which makes it wearable now even if the temperatures are dropping day by day.

I actually spotted this cosy knit in Paris but at the time, the pound was so weak against the euro it was cheaper to wait and buy back home which I did. I love the light stone colour and the detail is stunning. The ribbed sleeves contrast against the bobble front and the high neck is ideal for keeping warm and cosy.

The white crochet dress underneath means there is a little bit of skirt showing and I like the way it looks against the texture of the knit. White lace is my all time favourite and while this is more of a broderie anglaise, it’s on the same theme. I usually only wear it in Spring or Summer and my Autumn/Winter palette Is generally grey, black or navy however it’s good to shake it up now and again and inject some light into darker months of the year.

My snake print over the knee boots are the perfect match blending in all the neutral tones and keeping my legs warm.

My Shoreditch bag finishes off the outfit and I love the structured shape.
