Good Morning,
Anyone else go through lulls with zero inspiration and motivation? Some days I have no ideas then others my mind is in overdrive and I need to jot everything down as quickly as possible to keep up. This can be in relation to work, personal life, getting ready in the morning and deciding on content. There’s no rhyme or reason to it and it’s very unpredictable, sometimes even flipping from one extreme to the next within a few hours. Thankfully the volume from the periods of excess outweighs the balance of the times without any inspiration however each time it occurs it still manages to surprise me. I’ve started to adapt and create ways of dealing with it to ensure I don’t get discouraged or disheartened by the lulls.
One thing that definitely helps is creating notes or reminders. I’m a list person and the notes app on my phone is bursting with them. I’ve got lists for food shopping, to do lists for work, errands that need to be run, outfit ideas for the blog/instagram, phone calls I need to make, returns I’ve posted awaiting refunds, emails I need to follow up on, appointments that need to be booked. You name it, I’ll probably have a list for it. I don’t know if it’s partly because my memory is not as sharp as it used to be or if I’ve just gotten too used to relying on lists and reminders that I no longer attempt to remember things I need or want to do. Either way, I find it to be the best method of ensuring tasks get completed or to reignite my inspiration when lacking.
Do you have any tips or tricks to share?
xo!
