Some days simply call for comfy casuals and today is one of those days. We’re 3 quarters of the way through January, the toughest month in my opinion. The excitement and build up to the festive period is over, the days are short and dark, the nights are cold and long. Thankfully I’ve got a few trips lined up in the near future and that’s what’s keeping me going.
In the meantime, my outfit choices can go from one extreme to the other. Some days I’m cosy and casual, others I’m formal and ready for business. It’s all about balance, everything is really that’s the reality.
A classic stripe top is a year round essential and this one is a wardrobe staple. I actually got it from M&S in the sale a while ago. I love getting a bargain especially when it’s not a trend piece and something you can wear day in, day out. I had some errands to run at the weekend including a trip to the post office to collect some parcels and a food shop. The weather was pretty wild but I still wanted to wear something semi chic if that makes sense. My navy teddy coat is my go to at the moment. It’s snug and cosy and oozes luxury despite the high street price tag. The rich navy tone is perfect and goes well with everything. A pair of ripped jeans are easy to throw on and my Balenciaga’s are getting more wear than ever. A red bag works well matching with the stripes on the top and pulling the outfit together.
