*boots gifted
Good Morning,
Sock boots have been in style for a while now. I picked up my first pair from ASOS about 5 years ago. They didn’t have my size in stock so I bought a size up as I wanted them so bad ha! Since then I’ve added a few more pairs in my correct size and the style is a firm favourite.
I had my eye on the Kurt Geiger Barbican boots for a while. I don’t normally want something for as long without purchasing however towards the end of 2018, they went out of stock in my size and I thought I’d missed out forever. As they are such a classic, they came back in for AW19 and I was fortunate enough to be gifted them as part of a collaboration with the brand. It was the best feeling having wanted them and not been able to get them to be gifted them in the end and I’m extremely grateful to the brand for recognising and remembering my interest in them.
Since then I’ve been wearing them constantly as not only are they extremely comfortable but they are also super versatile. The sock style is very flattering, hugging the ankle and creating a really nice silhouette. They usually come up slightly higher than normal ankle boots which makes the legs appear slimmer and longer which is a huge bonus if you’re petite. The stiletto heel on this particular pair is STUNNING! I know it’s probably something that would put people off as it looks like they’d be difficult to walk in but I can assure you it’s just the same as a normal heel. The heel height is slightly lower than I’d normally go for which also helps make them easy to walk in. As the overall style and shape is on point, I don’t mind them being an inch or so shorter than I’d generally go for.
These can be worn day to day or dressed up for an evening look too. The stiletto heel is the part that really helps take these boots from day to night.
xo!
