Seasonal Stripes

Good Morning,

Stripes are an all time classic, they will never go out of style and that’s why I never hesitate to buy when I see something I like in stripe. I noticed this jumper in the new in section of ASOS and within 24 hours, it was in my possession. It arrived just in time for my trip to Venice and I wore it the day we visited the island of Murano. Anyone else grow fonder of items of clothing they’ve worn in a poignant place or from a special memory? I certainly do and that’s how I feel about this knit now.

It’s actually from the Billie Faiers range at In The Style. This is not a brand I’ve purchased from before and I’m not their biggest fan in terms of fast fashion however in this case, I will get plenty of wear out of this item this year and in years to come therefore it’s not a one time wear piece.

The thick blue and white stripes standout and the thing I love most is that the white is super bright. It’s not off white, it’s not ecru, it’s brilliant white and that’s something you don’t find often. It’s a loose, slouchy and oversized fit which is perfect. There’s nothing worse than claustrophobic knitwear.

I’ve paired with a new pair of jeans. I talked previously about having a bit of a love/hate relationship with denim lately. I found these and loved the shade and style. I was pleasantly surprised by how well they fit after ordering what felt like hundreds of pairs in different sizes with no success. I love lighter denim in Spring/Summer, it has that fresh feel about it.

I’ve paired with my baby blue Kensington bag and Balenciaga trainers. I’m getting more and more wear out of these now that I’ve put two insoles inside, they fit way better.
