Pistachio Pinafore

Good Morning,

I was starting to prep my Spring wardrobe before everything changed. I’d ordered some new pieces and looked forward to the temperature rising and the days getting longer. While we’re all stuck at home for now, I’m keeping in mind all of the things I’m going to do when this is over and all the outfits I’ll be styling up.

I mentioned in a previous post that green is in for Spring and I’m enjoying adding some colour to my otherwise neutral wardrobe. Green is actually a really good colour to add to your collection if like me, you have a lot of neutral accessories. It makes it easy to style and gives a lot of variety. Some other colours being more intense can be challenging to get repeated wear out of.

This little pastel pistachio pinafore is a great way to inject some colour without being overpowering or overwhelming. It’s a casual piece that can be dressed up or down depending on how you accessorise. On this occasion I’ve added a subtle detailed bodysuit underneath in an off-white/ecru tone. This works really well with the green tone and neutral buttons down the front. The diagonal stripes work really well coming down to a point right where the pinafore crosses over. This draws the eye to the smallest part of the waist and is really flattering.

The crossbody bag with logo/branding print is a great match and adds a bit of detail. The light toned snake print boots go perfectly too and bring the whole look together.
