Good Morning,
I’m in full summer lust mode. I think it’s mainly due to the weather changing over the weekend. The rain and wind put a dampener on everything and being stuck at home had me lusting for better days. Summer is my favourite season all round. My summer wardrobe is full to the brim with dresses, shorts, co-ords, playsuits, skirts, sandals and bags. I think what I love most about summer in terms of styling is the simplicity. Outfits can be pulled together really quickly without much effort. Plans can be made short notice, the days roll into the evening and there’s generally less formality all round.
Even though holidays are off the cards at the moment, I’ve still been buying swimwear and beach bags. If I like something I tend to buy it even if it’s unlikely I’ll wear or use it in the immediate future. I’m quite impulsive that way and while I’m trying to be a bit more sensible, being stuck at home with little distractions hasn’t helped matters. I’ve got more time than ever to plan outfits and come up with different ideas which I want to put into practice but can’t at the moment. I’m not sure my trips towards the end of the year will go ahead but if they do I’m ready and I’ve got new pieces to take along with me. If they don’t, I’ll try and use the pieces during our Scottish Summer or the next time I get away.
xo!
