Good Morning & Happy Friday!
I know I pretty much say that every week but I’m trying to maintain that Friday feel good feeling. It’s not as easily identifiable when working from home, your work space is also your calm/relax space and the days all blur into one but it’s important to recognise the achievement of making it through another week. I’ve actually taken today off work as annual leave which initially I was in two minds about doing. I felt like it would be a bit of a waste of a day if I wasn’t able to go anywhere or do anything however in Scotland as of yesterday, we’ve moved into Phase 1 of lifting some of restrictions. We’re now allowed to meet another household outdoors and from a safe distance. I had put in for the day off before the announcement was made about moving to Phase 1 so it’s turned out pretty well as I can spend time with my family after 11 long weeks of only seeing them through a screen.
Anyway on to the topic for today – my new favourite blazer. I got this in the sale at M&S and I’m in love with it. It’s not my usual style of blazer being oversized and a longer length. Being petite this is something I’d usually avoid however it was £25.99 in the sale so I thought I’d order and try it. The second I tried it on I was smitten. The quality is exceptional, it’s a really thick slightly textured material and fully lined inside. The tones of the check pattern are neutral and soft which makes the blazer easy to style with existing pieces in my wardrobe. The blazer is double breasted and tailored too which is great as it flatters the figure. I sized up as my usual size was out of stock however I’m really glad I did as I love the fit.
It works well styled more formally as demonstrated here however it also goes well with dresses or with jeans and a white tee. I could wear it for work or for a dinner date or more casually to run some errands. It’s a great all rounder and the perfect addition to my blazer collection.
xo!
