Good Morning,
Now that a summer holiday is off the cards, I’m focusing my mind on the things we can do this summer. Spending time with family and friends outdoors, garden parties and BBQ’s are just some of the things that can continue. Hopefully as time goes on, we’ll be able to get down to the coast or away from the city to unwind and make up for all the time spent cooped up at home. I’ve probably spent more time outdoors in the last few weeks than I have in months and I’ve really enjoyed it.
Anything I do with family and friends, whether it’s a brief visit or a picnic in the park requires some pre-planning in terms of bringing food, drinks and snacks. Sometimes it also includes gifts and presents which at first resulted in me carrying multiple bags. That was until I decided to get a nice summer basket bag to help lug all my stuff around. It’s something I’d usually buy for holiday and then store away for the rest of the year however I’ll get use out of it during our imposed Scottish summer staycation.
The weaved paper raffia is a lovely light tone which is perfect for the style. The black leather straps and quilted pocket complements it well adding a bit of a feature on the front with the signature Eagle head. The pocket is a great place to store my phone as otherwise I spend a good 5 minutes searching for it every time.
I guess this is the latest addition to my Kensington collection and it’s very different from all the others. They also have a slightly smaller and more structured basket style bag which comes with tan or black hardware. I was deciding between the two but opted for this one as it’s more of a shopper style and will be more practical day to day.
