Good Morning,
As we approach Autumn, I’ve been browsing the latest arrivals online. Living in Scotland, Autumn is a season where there is a notable shift in weather with the days shortening, leaves changing and air crisper. It’s a season that brings an obvious change in styling with neutrals coming in to the mix more than any other. A tailored camel coat or a soft beige trench are prime examples of classic Autumnal pieces. I always try to style some of my Summer pieces at the beginning of the season mixing with chunky knits or blazers to transition gradually and get the most out of them before hibernating for Winter.
Co-ords are still very much a feature this coming Autumn/Winter and I’m loving the different options from loungewear to more sophisticated styles. Given we’re likely to be working from home a while longer, I’ve picked up some comfy options to stay chic whilst on the 327 teams meetings I seem to have every week. The pink knit top and cardi set from Zara is a recent favourite and I can wear while staying cosy at home.
Mixing different textures and materials is my favourite part of Autumn styling. Leather with a thick knit or tweed with a smooth or patent finish bag or shoes are examples of how I like to contrast and it’s a great opportunity to get creative.
Are you adding anything new this Autumn?
xo!
