I’m back after an unplanned but necessary break. Sometimes life forces you to take a step back and recharge.
This dress featured in my Spring Wishlist and it was a bit of a struggle to get a hold of it. I stalked the ASOS website daily, sometimes multiple times per day as I’m THAT determined when I want something. It initially came back in stock in a size 8 which I snapped up however it was quite big at the bust and I wasn’t 100% certain I could make it work. As a result of being in lockdown at home and not going anywhere or doing anything, it was still in my wardrobe with the tag on when it came back in stock in a smaller size. I took advantage of the extended returns period to send back the size 8 and was delighted I’d managed to get the right size and fit. It’s fast become my favourite white dress despite the stiff competition.
I expected to wear this dress in Barcelona, Paris and Mexico this year but it’s not to be. Instead I’m wearing it here at home and potentially one of the last opportunities given the unpredictable Scottish weather and transition to Autumn. As it’s a classic summer style with the crochet detail and beautiful square neckline, it won’t go out of fashion and I’ll be able to wear it on all my rescheduled trips next year and for Spring/Summer seasons to come.
xo!
