I’m counting down to finishing work at 5pm tomorrow and having a nice chilled long weekend. It’s a bank holiday Monday for us and I wanted to make the most of it by taking Friday off too. I’ve no firm plans which is always nice, no pressure to be anywhere at any time and I can do what I please. Until then though it’s business as usual…
Since I got this blazer, I don’t think there’s been a single week where I haven’t wore it. It’s very much become my go to piece and even more so now that we’re transitioning to Autumn. The exceptional quality is part of the reason I reach for it time and time again. The tailored fit is extremely flattering and going up a size has proved invaluable as it gives an oversized and almost statement finish. I can also easily layer thin knitwear underneath which makes it wearable through all seasons.
My little crochet dress works perfectly with the blazer. The crisp white stands out against the neutral tones and check pattern and I love pulling the sleeves through to create a nice feminine cuff. The buttons down the front of the dress are really flattering, creating the perfect symmetry with the blazer open and drawing the eyes down.
My booties are back out and I’m so glad I picked up this neutral pair last year despite also having the same style in every other colour way. Now that my wardrobe has taken a shift to a more neutral palette, this pair are perfect for mixing and matching with different pieces.
