Good Morning,
After a full weekend of family birthday celebrations, a visit to a pumpkin patch, cakes and a Netflix binge of Emily In Paris, we enter a new week. The new week brings new restrictions and there is an ongoing debate about the difference between a restaurant and a cafe. The thing that is clear though is that we’re no where near through this pandemic and life will continue to be disrupted for a long time.
On a more positive note, I’ve got a new knitted co-ord and I love it! I’m pretty much living in it at the moment as it’s so easy to throw on to nip to the post office or to do a food shop which are about the only things I’m doing these days. I also wore it on Friday for my flu jab as it naturally falls off the shoulder and meant I didn’t need to take any layers off. It’s a beautiful textured pink knit with little speckles of fuchsia throughout. The pastel pink buttons blend in seamlessly and are a good contrast to the knit. The top has thick straps which show as the cardigan falls off the shoulder. The ribbed detailing stands out and she square neckline adds another angle. The top could be worn over a white tee or perhaps a shirt for a more creative look.
I’ve styled with some high waist culottes also from Zara but from the kids section. Elastic waistbands are life right now and these are the comfiest trousers I own. I’ve been wearing them for home working and nipping out but they can also be dressed up. The pleating is super flattering and means they don’t need ironed either which is always a winner in my opinion. A pair of sock boots go really well as they are form fitting and help to elongate the legs, bringing some shape to an otherwise loose silhouette.
xo!
