We’re getting to the point where coats are necessary and I’ve added a new neutral number into my collection. Zara are always good for value for money coats and jackets and this Autumn is no different. One of my all time favourite coats was from the special prices section about 6/7 years ago and I still wear it to this day. It has kept it’s shape and is a great classic piece.
This year, they have brought out a very similar style albeit in a more minimal design for only £29.99. As you can see, it’s a tailored style with structured shoulder pads and a lovely lapel collar. It has pockets which are barely visible but no buttons or fastenings. I’d say it’s a small to regular fit which is great as I’ve ordered about 428 different oversized coats in the last month or so and they’ve all had to go back. I love the oversized look on other people but it just doesn’t work on my petite frame. I tend to look like I’m wearing my mums overcoat which isn’t exactly the vibe I’m going for.
The simplicity of this coat is what sold it for me as it enables you to style it up or wear over the top of something more attention grabbing. It can also be worn over a more causal outfit and it will lift or elevate the overall look. It’s a really elegant piece that won’t go out of fashion due to the classic and minimal finish and it’s a great addition to my Autumn wardrobe.
