Christmas Wonderland @ Silverbirch Garden Centre, Clyde Valley

Good Morning,

Christmas is almost upon us and I’m bursting with excitement. After the year we’ve had, it’s about time we had something to celebrate and enjoy. I look forward to spoiling my friends and family. It won’t make up for the time we’ve lost and all the celebrations we’ve missed out on but the gift of giving is still possible and I want to make sure the gifts I give are poignant and extra special this time around.  I’ve compiled a Mega Gift Guide if you’re stuck for ideas.

Before we get to the gift giving stage, there is the home decorating to take into consideration. I don’t generally get involved with putting up the tree etc however with being at home a majority of the time I want to make it feel extra festive and cosy this year. Silverbirch Garden Centre is very much a Christmas wonderland when it comes to home decorating. It’s almost as if you step into another world when you walk through the door. It’s the dreamiest set up and they always have spectacular displays, trees that are exquisitely decorated along with little knick knacks that you won’t find anywhere else.

I visited a couple of times last year and it’s pretty much my ideal day out. There is so much to see and while it isn’t the biggest space, they pack a lot in. I usually do a few loops just to make sure I haven’t missed anything. The cafe is amazing too, they have a good selection of options as well as proper homemade cakes and sweet treats which is needed after a day of shopping.

I stopped by early this year, Friday 25th September to be exact. I was in the area and directly passing by and decided to drop in to see if they had any of the Christmas displays out. It’s safe to say they had made a good start but understandably things weren’t finished.  I snapped a few photos on my phone and I thought it might be nice to share if you live nearby and fancied a visit. I discovered it via Instagram last year and it’s very much become the place to go for Christmas decorations for the home. It’s also a great escape from everything that’s been going on as while you’re there you are totally in the festive spirit and completely distracted from the craziness of day to day life at the moment.

I hope to pop in again soon and get another fix of festiveness but until then below is a little snippet of what to expect.

xo!
