Good Morning,
I’ve got all the festive feels already and we’re only half way through November. I’ve always loved Christmas, it’s forever been a magical and memorable time of year. From traditions created to the warm fuzzy feeling that fills my heart when I gift loved ones, I adore it all.
Earlier this week I talked about Silverbirch Garden Centre being a Christmas Wonderland but I wanted to share some other and more readily available items to decorate the home for the festive period. Whether it’s bedding, table wear, lights, baubles or gift wrap, I’ve got you covered.
On the point of gift wrap, I have to admit I’m slightly obsessed. I’ve already accumulated 11 new rolls of wrap for this year and I probably have a similar amount left over from last year. I don’t know what it is but I think when a gift is wrapped nicely and in an aesthetically pleasing way, it makes even the smallest or most insignificant gift appear luxurious. I totally know that either way, the gift will get ripped open and all the time and effort put in will be lost in a split second but it’s something I enjoy. On my most recent visit to Ikea, I picked up the niftiest bag which makes storing all your gift wrap, ribbon, tags and accessories much easier. It was only a few pounds and will enable me to keep everything together instead of having rolls in various random places around the house. They have another one which has several compartments and is very much a Monica from Friends special. Sadly they didn’t have it in my store when I was in otherwise I would have opted for that instead but the festive one will do me for now.
This year in particular, I want to make my home feel cosy and as festive as possible. I’m spending almost all my time at home, working during the day and chilling in the evenings. It’s the ideal opportunity to go all out and make it as special as it can be. This is the one year you can get away with putting your Christmas tree up as early as you like without judgement. I’ve already seen a few myself and it’s brought is a little moment of joy and a nice reminder that Christmas is coming.
