Good Morning,
We enter yet another week with a high level of uncertainty of what might happen, will we be put back into lockdown or will the existing Tier 3 restrictions remain in place?
2020 has changed a lot in terms of our day to day life and freedoms and I find myself constantly flipping between extreme fear of loved ones catching the virus to the reality that we can’t live like this forever. Every time we lockdown we enter a vicious circle of quickly being back in the same situation again when things open back up. Schools, universities and workplaces being open inevitably results in a continuous spread and we need to be able to live with it and manage it in the best way we can. We can’t keep forcing businesses to close, too many people have already been affected in terms of job losses or financially from not being paid their full salary or being able to work their full quota of hours. The news of the vaccine is great but the reality is it will take time for everyone to receive it and that’s a real challenge.
The indefinite timeframe on everything is one of the things I’m struggling with the most and I’m sure I’m not alone. Not knowing when I can go to a concert again and experience music live or book a flight to Paris with certainty the trip will go ahead or enter a shop without a face mask are all things that are frustrating. There is a need to have something to look forward to after everything that’s happened this year, a glimmer of hope.
For now we’ll need to wait and see what tomorrow holds. Until then, I’m staying comfy and cosy at home in my little bubble.
xo!
