Are you missing travelling? I’m not desperate to get back on a plane as soon as it’s safe to do so. I think I’ll take time to explore my own country and places closer to home before I jet off anywhere else. The only place I miss greatly is Paris. I’m a self confessed francophile (a person who is fond of or greatly admires France) and I’m missing my regular trips. I discover more each time I visit and fall even more in love with the city.
In the meantime, I’m reminded of Paris in other ways including outfits or pieces which mentally take me there. My friend got me this jumper as a gift and I absolutely love it. Putting it on when working from home brings a smile to my face even on the darkest days. There’s a famous saying ‘I’m nicer when I like my outfit’ which runs true for me. I’m always happy when I have this jumper on as it has sentimental value first and foremost. It’s also soft and fluffy inside which is a bonus and almost acts as a hug or at least as close as we can get to it right now.
As much as it’s comfy and cosy for wearing at home, it can also be dressed up should you have somewhere to go. A great pairing is faux leather trousers as the soft, jersey of the jumper contrasts well against the smooth and soft pleather. The deep red Oui Mon Cheri slogan is raised and textured which makes it stand out and the focal point of the outfit. My little mini cross body bag is subtle but chic and ideal for nipping out to the shops or to dropping something off at the post office. It’s safe to say I’ve spent more time with the post office clerk than I have my own family and friends in the last 6 months. Hopefully the balance will shift soon if we can have more social interactions.
