Petite Paulina – Bvlgari, the renowned jewelry brand from Rome, once again showcases beauty through its exhibition titled “Serpenti Infinito.” Celebrating the Year of the Snake 2025, according to the Chinese calendar, the event takes place at Zhangyuan in Shanghai. The exhibition features artwork from 19 international and Chinese artists, each offering a unique interpretation of Bvlgari’s iconic serpent, Serpenti.
Zhangyuan, a historic district known for its blend of Chinese and Western architecture, serves as the perfect venue for this exhibition. Visitors can enjoy 28 artworks on display, including 11 created specifically for this event. Moreover, Bvlgari’s Serpenti collection of jewelry, watches, and exclusive creations captivates attendees.
The exhibition is divided into three acts, each exploring the significance of serpents in various aspects:
This act delves into the profound meaning of serpents in Chinese mythology, art, and culture. It includes legends like the “Legend of the White Snake.” The collection also features 11 historical pieces from Bvlgari, such as the Serpenti bracelet watch from 1955.
The serpent symbolizes wisdom, protection, and power, showcased through various artistic media like painting, music, and sculpture. This section includes interactive installations, short films, and experimental music that depict the symbolic beauty of serpents.
This act highlights the inspiration of serpents in modern art. For example, technology-based works like “Infinito: AI Data Sculpture” by Refik Anadol combine artificial intelligence with natural beauty to create stunning data sculptures.
The exhibition offers two special experiences:
The “Serpenti Infinito” exhibition opens to the public from January 9 to February 16, 2025. This presents a rare opportunity for visitors to witness the boundless beauty of the ever-evolving Serpenti icon, showcased in both art and jewelry. Consequently, the exhibition not only celebrates the Year of the Snake but also reinforces Bvlgari’s message of creativity, innovation, and cross-cultural spirit between East and West.
