Petite Paulina – In the spirit of the Lunar New Year, Burberry brings joy to the festivities with a special capsule collection. To celebrate the Year of the Snake, Burberry collaborates with renowned Chinese artist Qian Lihuai to create a unique collection. Dominated by red, a color symbolizing luck and prosperity in Chinese culture, the collection embodies festive elegance.
The capsule collection reimagines the iconic Burberry Check with a seasonal twist and a snake motif shaped like the letter B. It includes fashion pieces such as outerwear, long dresses, and versatile jersey items.
Mini-sized pieces, including puffer jackets and scarves with seasonal motifs, are also part of the collection. Accessories like silk or cashmere scarves, leather wallets, hats, and bag charms make perfect gifts for the occasion.
Burberry Brand Ambassador Zhang Jingyi shares her thoughts on the Year of the Snake, describing it as a time for renewal and new beginnings. “The best part of this season is gathering with loved ones, sharing meals, and enjoying warm conversations,” she says.
Zhang Jingyi also appears in Burberry’s campaign, photographed by Walter Pfeiffer. Reflecting on the experience, she remarks, “Working with Walter Pfeiffer and Qian Lihuai gave me a profound sense of connection. It’s been a joy to create unique celebratory memories with Burberry.”

To honor the collection, Burberry partnered with Qian Lihuai, a prominent bamboo weaving artist from China. Bamboo weaving has deep roots in Burberry’s heritage, evident in the innovative open-weave design of its gabardine fabric and the classic Burberry Check scarves.
Qian Lihuai, from a family with a long tradition of bamboo weaving, is celebrated for blending modern design with ancient craft. For this collaboration, he created nine bamboo art sculptures titled “Us.” These sculptures, photographed with Zhang Jingyi for the campaign, are also displayed in Burberry’s flagship stores across China.
Handwoven into abstract, snake-like forms, the sculptures symbolize interconnected family bonds. Each piece tells its own story while forming a cohesive whole.
“I’ve always admired Burberry’s iconic patterns. Their textures and colors align beautifully with the intricate designs in bamboo weaving. This collaboration felt natural,” says Qian Lihuai.
This partnership not only produces stunning works of art but also enriches the cultural significance of the Year of the Snake celebrations.
