Recrafted Tradition: JF3 2025 Bridges Heritage and Global Vision
Bridging Tradition and Innovation in Fashion
PetitePaulina – The Jakarta Fashion and Food Festival (JF3) 2025 returns with bold ambition and global scope. Entering its third decade, this year’s theme, “Recrafted: A New Vision,” seeks to reinterpret heritage and tradition through the lens of contemporary fashion. No longer a mere annual event, JF3 now stands as a cultural movement that merges local identity with global discourse.

International Collaboration Marks a New Milestone
One of the key highlights of JF3 2025 is the presence of global designers on Indonesian soil. Victor Clavelly, a French designer known for working with Rick Owens and Beyoncé, collaborates with LAKON Indonesia in an iconic cross-cultural fashion project. Alongside Héloïse Bouchot, Clavelly’s presence signals a new era of cultural diplomacy through fashion.

Redefining Craft Through the “Recrafted” Theme
According to Thresia Mareta, founder of LAKON Indonesia and JF3 advisor, the “Recrafted” theme is more than just a slogan—it is a call to step beyond comfort zones and reignite the spirit of innovation. Fashion is not just about fabric, she insists, but about carrying forward ethics, artistry, and knowledge in ever-evolving forms.
Southeast Asia and Korea Join the Global Runway
JF3 2025 also welcomes young Southeast Asian designers through ASEAN Fashion Designers Showcase (AFDS). Rising stars from South Korea—Chung Hoon Choi, Lee Joon Bok, and Baek Ju Hee—will showcase their work, further elevating the festival’s global presence. These collaborations build bridges between Indonesia and the broader Asian fashion scene.
Strategic Partnerships with Global Institutions
JF3 expands its international footprint by partnering with École Duperré Paris and WSN, organizer of the Paris Trade Show. These alliances affirm JF3’s role as a growing platform that moves beyond local exhibitions to enter the global fashion arena.
Fashion Meets Business at JF3 2025
The festival supports business growth through initiatives like Niwasana by Fashion Village, showcasing over 50 curated local brands at Summarecon Mall Kelapa Gading. Meanwhile, Summarecon Mall Serpong hosts Code Street by DRP Jakarta, bringing French streetwear and urban culture to Indonesian audiences.
Investing in Future Generations of Designers
JF3 doesn’t forget the importance of nurturing young talent. Through the Future Fashion Award, two emerging brands will receive intensive mentoring and production support from LAKON Indonesia. The PINTU incubator program, in collaboration with the French Embassy and IFI, continues its mission in its fourth impactful year.
JF3’s Decade Three Focus: Regeneration
Soegianto Nagaria, JF3 Chairman, emphasizes that the third decade of the festival is centered on regeneration. He envisions JF3 as an open platform for young creatives ready to project Indonesia onto the global fashion map. For him, true impact happens when creativity meets solid structure.
Save the Date for JF3 2025
JF3 2025 runs from July 24 to 27 at Summarecon Mall Kelapa Gading, followed by a second phase from July 30 to August 2 at Summarecon Mall Serpong. The festival promises to be a transformative moment, not just for fashion lovers, but for anyone who believes in the power of creative cultural exchange.
